Farragut Impact Fee Study Public Forum
The Town of Farragut in Knox County is ramping up efforts for more impact fees. This is a huge development issue and we oppose impact fees. We are asking you to attend the forum to learn more about the report.
The link below takes you to the Town of Farragut website with more details about Duncan & Associates who is conducting the study. Farragut already approved the Everett Road Corridor impact fee in 2014 and there are at least 5-6 more areas where they are planning to do the same thing. Please make every effort to attend this very important forum.
Farragut Invites Community to Sept. 16 Impact Fee Study Public Forum
The Town of Farragut will host an Impact Fee Study Public Forum on Wednesday, Sept. 16 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Farragut Town Hall. The impact fee study is being led by Duncan Associates of Austin, Texas, in collaboration with The Corradino Group in Nashville.
The purpose of this project is to study existing and future traffic impact on our road system with the intent to develop an infrastructure fee-based formula for Farragut to use to require impact fees on future development within the Town. These fees will assist the Town with maintaining and/or improving the road system in accordance with our adopted road standards.
Public forum attendees will learn general impact fee information; specific information with regard to the Town's study, philosophy and methodology behind the creation of an impact fee program; and implications for the Farragut community. The forum will conclude with a question and answer session with Duncan Associates and Town staff.
The Farragut Town Hall is located at 11408 Municipal Center Drive across from the Farragut Branch Post Office. For more information about this project, visit www.townoffarragut.org/impactfees.
